Here's the deal: We're fierce advocates for Colorado families and their four-legged friends.
We’re on the ground floor of a growing problem with overpopulated and understaffed shelters and families needing rehoming assistance, housing solutions, and compassionate behavior support. Frankly, the current solutions aren't cutting it.
We're a judgment-free 501(c)(3) non-profit organization using creative strategies to reduce Colorado's shelter population. Our mission involves solutions to keep animals from being surrendered to the shelter and support for local shelters to find loving homes for pets stuck in the shelter system.
This is hard work, but we are up for the challenge, and we could use your help.
Pledge with us to shake up the stale systems and bring effective and necessary programs to the pet rescue world.
Our temporary fostering program provides your pet a safe and loving home during difficult times, such as losing your home, extended hospitalization, or facing domestic violence. This support allows you to focus on recovery until you're able to reunite with your beloved companion.
Sometimes it's in the best interest of a family animal to be rehomed. We encourage every pet owner to explore all available options, but rehoming may be the best bet. UTH provides a safe, judgment-free environment to help you research options and rehome your pet with compassion.
We offer sliding scale behavior training to help families navigate challenging behaviors with their dog that may result in them deciding to surrender their pet to the shelter. We're here to help you better understand, manage, and change your dog's behavior to hopefully help keep them in your home.
