We know that losing your home, having to be hospitalized, or going through a domestic violence situation may result in you being forced to surrender your pet to the shelter. This is why we created a temporary fostering program – so that you can know your animal is in a safe and loving home while you get back on your feet until you can get them back.
How it works:
- You must be working with a caseworker who will be in communication with our UTH representative during your animal’s stay with us. Resources here to get a caseworker
- You fill out an application
- You and your caseworker talk through the process and timeline with our UTH representative
- We look for a temporary foster home for your pet
- They stay in foster placement in a safe and loving home
- You receive regular photo and video updates on your furbuddy while you’re getting back on your feet
- They are back in your arms before you know it!
