Sliding-Scale Behavior Support

A certified training consultant leads our behavior team with her animal training and consulting business. She uses positive reinforcement and science-driven methods when training dogs and counseling animal owners on intervention strategies.

Your first training session will be set up over Zoom with someone from our behavior team. Your session includes:

  • A recording of your session
  • Training handouts related to your situation
  • A management and training plan
  • Referrals and links to additional information

Training with a certified professional in Northern Colorado costs an average of $70 an hour. Our $0-$70 sliding scale allows you to pay what you feel is appropriate for your budget and the quality of our services. Our process allows you to decide after the training when we send you a link to pay for the session.

If together we decide it would be in the animal's best interest to continue future training or rehome them; we can walk you through our programs and do our best to keep your pet out of the shelter system.

How it works:

  1. Fill out our application
  2. Our UTH representative sets you up with our contracted dog training partner
  3. We set up a Zoom session with one of our experienced dog trainers
  4. You receive a recording of your Zoom session, action items, and follow-up notes after the session to set you up for success, along with a link to pay what you can for the session
